In the build up to the World Humanitarian Summit, WHF will host 6 Themed Summits, whose outcomes will feed in the declaration and action tracks of the Summit.

THEMED SUMMITS

PROVOCATIONS

WHFprovocations is a new concept of WHF’s convening power.

Provocations will bring together an exclusive group of 20-30 high-level senior leaders and thinkers to discuss current challenges with particular emphasis on a specific regional context, to promote the strategic debate and to provoke ideas.

Meetings will take place once or twice a year in different capitals around the world. With debates being held off-the-record and/or under Chatham House rule with a limited group of participants, WHFprovocations will enable an open and interactive exchange between high-level decision-makers and senior experts from around the globe.

In addition, the ideas and arguments exchanged will provide input and guidance for all other WHF activities and white papers will be published based upon the themes and shared thoughts.

ROUNDTABLES & CONVERSATIONS

WHF’s Roundtables and Conversations take place regularly at the same time as international meetings and events of our partner organisations.

In addition to the annual and regional meetings, WHF organises a growing number of other events worldwide. The thematic focuses range from strengthening multilateral cooperation to climate action and technology as well as migration. These take place in person or hybrid formats.
